	This spacious, well appointed holiday rental suite is located on April Point, Quadra Island, right next door to April Point Resort & Spa. Quadra Island is just minutes by car ferry and a short drive from downtown Campbell River, the popular BC salmon fishing destination on the north central east coast of Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. When Warren and Sherry Peterson rebuilt after a fire decimated their oceanfront April Point home in 1995, they included a lovely vacation rental they call April Point Studio. After many years in the business, both as co-owner of April Point Lodge and a professional fishing guide for over 47 years, Warren is no longer guiding. You will find recommendations for fishing guides on the site as well, under Activities - Fishing.   About April Point Studio Spacious and comfortable This spacious studio has a separate entrance from the main residence and is very private. The ocean front patio (with BBQ) provides an elevated view of the fast moving waters of Discovery Passage with its fascinating variety of marine traffic. South-west Oceanfront Exposure The floor-to-ceiling windows in the suite provide an amazing ocean vista as does the private patio, with sunny south-western exposure. The ever-changing parade of boats traveling the passage is a sight to see, including sport fishing boats, ocean-going tugs with huge tows, cruise ships going to and from Alaska and so many more. In the summer, dolphins and orcas can frequently be seen, and a pair of bald eagles nest on a small island adjacent to the suite. Make sure to bring your binoculars! Interior Details In one area, the custom-built maple kitchen cabinets anchor a compact but complete kitchen, including a microwave and fridge. A bistro-size table and chairs provide space to dine and drink in the ever-changing scenery outside the wall-to-wall windows. (Or, take your coffee or meal outdoors to the patio where a table and chairs await.) The living area includes a comfortable sofa bed and flat screen TV in a wardrobe that also holds games, a DVD player, VCR and lots of movies. With the curtains open you can even enjoy the view from the large, comfy queen-size bed. Your feet will stay warm and cozy with the heated tile floor in the bathroom which has a bath / shower combination with sliding doors. Cell Phone Coverage & Internet Access Cell phone reception is excellent here, and wireless Internet is available at no extra charge. Spa & Massage, Restaurant & Scooter Rentals Oh yes - skip the early morning fishing trip and stroll around the corner to the spa at April Point Resort and Spa. Treat yourself the way you deserve to be treated! Mopeds are available for rent at the Lodge and an outdoor game of chess or checkers board is a fun afternoon activity. The resort, which has excellent dining, an ocean-front deck and live entertainment on select evenings, is open May to October but this studio is available year ‘round.
